A perfectly excellent experience. We tried a wide variety and were very pleased. The crab cakes were spectacular as were the other appetizers (eggplant flat bread and the duck). Lake trout was the best I've ever had. Also tasted the rack of lamb and was equally impressed. So many great things on the menu and a top notch beer selection as well. What a great find on a quiet stretch of road in Palm Coast.

"Welcome to Flavortown!" Frank, the owner and our server, commented the above when delivering to my place setting a perfectly cooked prime rib with the most amazing chipotle butter. He was spot on! You might not consider the place if just driving by. The exterior is very much 'old Florida' and certainly off the beaten trail. But let us not judge a book by its cover, or a restaurant by its silken flowers. What's inside that counts: great food, exceptional unpretentious service and an owner who take utmost pride in his craft. Our visit was capped off with a rousing rendition of God Bless America, sung by the patrons of the bar area. Quite a way to leave Flavortown...only to hope to come back soon. One footnote: I wish I could give 4.5/5. The only misstep was a confused order...my wife ordered sea bass with what was promised As Parmesan risotto. What came out was curried sea bass with jasmine rice...or so it tasted. She did not mention anything, though I'm sure Frank would have corrected it. But, that was the only wrong turn in Flavortown...!

I would so like to give this restaurant 5 stars. We had calamari (yum!) as an appetizer. Rack of lamb and cioppino as entrees and molten chocolate and cheese cake as desserts. The food is excellent and if all you are going for is to fill your belly you will not be disappointed. However, if you like good service, this is not the place. We had to ask for water and bread. We both ordered salads and the entree came out before the salads and our waiter (Also the chef and owner) said we didn't need salad. (Really?) needless to say we never got the salad(s). The owner is wearing too many hats-while the wait staff was good at least two more people were needed. And one final note: it was our anniversary which we noted when we made the reservation. Nothing was said or acknowledged. Bottom line : don't plan on this place for a celebration. .. . Or good service.

More people should be writing reviews on this place. In town visiting my parents. Found 386 on yelp. I can't imagine there is better food in Palm Coast. Great service, great food, owner working the bar and talking to customers. Exactly what you want in a restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

Doesn't look like much from the outside but inside the people are welcoming. The food was excellent. We started with the rice balls (aroncini). Our entrees were delicious- steak with Gorgonzola, cioppino with risotto and lasagna. We highly recommend.

While on a mini vacation i came upon this little place. This place is delicious! I ordered crab cakes and they were spectacular, very lumpy and very flavorful. .I forgot to take pixs! Oh well next time! Very friendly and attentive staff!

Great food! We live in San Francisco and have the luxury of lots of great restaurants. It's not as often when we travel and find a place as good as this one. The staff is friendly and food is great. We had a group of 8 and ordered the bone-in pork chop, cioppino, salmon and scallops. Everyone loves their dish. Definitely a place to hit if you're in the area. Seems like the pork chop is the dish you definitely don't want to miss.

Showed up with a group of 11, everyone LOVED their meal. Everything was delicious, starting with the bread and appetizer until the last bite of every meal. Food was perfectly paired and seasoned. Service was excellent too. Will definitely come back on our next trip to the Palm Coast.

You'll love this place. Fantastic food, we loved the rack of lamb. I not only loved the lamb. Not only would I order it again, I would go back for the lamb. And we had a party of 11 and others felt the same about ciopina, stuffed flounder pork chop... You name it. And Frank the owner is walking around checking on your experience. That's the finishing touch. Thanks Frank for a great evening.

The food was fantastic. We took my mother there for her birthday and everyone's food was delicious -especially the pork chop! I'd definitely go back if we visit that part of Florida again.

Just left 386 minutes ago. One of the most disappointing meal experience ever!! More than a week ago I spoke to the manager (husband handles the bar) to make tonight's reservation as this is our 50th anniversary. No notes or comment (wouldn't any good customer service indicate to make a note next to the reservation?) when we arrived or when we were seated. We sat so long waiting for any server or even water. The place was incredibly noisy including a waitress who sounded like she had a bullhorn. Many young kids which really surprised us for what is supposed to be one of the best Palm Coast restaurants. It was so bad twice I had to reprogram my only hearing aid. Eventually we had a waiter who was trying his best to be attentive. The noise was so bad he had to sit next to my wife to tell us the specials. We both chose Caesar salads but the requested pepper mill never arrived. My wife had the petite filet and I had the prime rib. Both were cooked exactly as ordered. My mashed potato was like a small ice cream scoop, the sautéed spinach was good but tiny. In fact my prime rib was about 3/4 inch thick and similar to what in New York and Connecticut would be called a lady's portion. Oh yes, our only alcohol was one glass of merlot. With tip= $96. We will never return to 386 or go to their sister restaurant 727. We are used to unlimited funds for dinners in NYC or in Fairfield County CT. Only my wife kept me from telling the hostess how miserable this experience was and leaving prior to the meal. Absolutely less than one star!!

The food was excellent--I had the petite filet & vegetable ravioli for an appetizer. They were able to get us in without a reservation with 30 minutes notice. The staff seemed overwhelmed- nice, but extremely busy and we had to wait a little while between dinner, dessert & getting the check. Overall excellent food & a great switch from fried seafood!!

The place bills itself as a "fine dining" experience but not only was the food sub-par, our waitress had dirty fingernails. She was friendly and mostly helpful but the dirty fingernails means that the owners don't care about cleanliness. Aside from the staff, our meals were mediocre. None of our dishes included vegetables and they weren't even offered as an up-charge. My scallop dish was four average size scallops and rice. That's it. The price point warrants additional attention in menu planning, additional attention from the waitstaff, and most importantly, additional attention from the chef. All which were sorely lacking.

386 is better than expected from the other YELP reviews. And don't let the pictures fool you, the food is great. Coming from Ft Lauderdale it's great to step into a small place on a quiet, bucolic island. The mood at 386 is romantic and charming. But expect to have fun because the service is that good. Our waiter gave the type of devotion you'd expect in a very high-end eatery. He was in command of his craft. The owner was not shy, either. He greeted us on the way in and earnestly checked on us mid-meal. It's always nice to want for nothing. We tried sea bass and tuna specials. Both were delicious, but their Caesar dressing stuck out more than anything. I recommend giving it a try. We also had clams and tiramisu. Need a bar? Looks like the locals have a great time getting together in the bar area. Small but decent beer selection to go with a great wine list. Enjoy!

Frank accommodated a party of 15 at what I would consider to be 'last minute', and did so with open arms, so kudos are well deserved for that alone. But then comes the food, oh, that food....all I can say is WOW. EVERY step of the meal, the apps, the wine, the salads, dinners, and the desserts - Pumpkin bread pudding....so legit. Do yourself a huge favor and stop in to 386 for a meal, you will not be dissappointed. It was some of the best food I've had in any city, in any town, in any state. Yes - I am that serious. I will be back next time I visit Palm Coast, and I am also looking forward to trying their other location in the European Village, 727....it looks to be amazing as well, and if it is even 1/2 has good as 386, I am confident that it will not let me down. Don't sleep on 386....getcha some. NOW.

Music loud! ( give us ambiance and turn it down a notch!) Small great menu Cold beer Very very good service I had the calamari salad- excellent but way too much dressing...next time I will ask for it on the side. Shrimp & grits good They made us fresh cocktail sauce- it was very good. Bread good- I am glad this is new in the neighborhood as the place down the street is getting worse.... ( no names)

4 different main dishes ordered and 4 fantastic meals. Bone in pork chop and Lobster raviolli got highest marks. Also, service was spectacular.... nice and entertaining. Would come again on next visit, no question.

Amazing food at reasonable prices. I have been here a few times and tried most dishes on the menu. I have not had a bad meal, or experience. The staff provide above average service, even on the busiest of nights. Reservations aren't required, but I would recommend them. The restaurant is small, but has a good ambiance, and did I mention the great food !

Thoroughly enjoyed this dining experience! Completely unexpected. From the outside, it looks like a regular beachy type restaurant. A closer look shows you how much attention to detail has been placed. The inside decor is something like upscale shabby chic - not stuffy, not cheap, but tasteful and comfortable without being overwhelming. An impressive wine list and outstanding beer selection are offered. The food was simply outstanding. We tried several dishes and each was better than the last. Most were specials for the evening, and when the chef tells you he has a special dish prepared, you should try it without thinking twice. Generous portions, top quality ingredients, expertly prepared and seasoned. We will be going back there for sure on our next trip!

This place has the most amazing food in the area, hands down. We came in a party of three and all had the specials, Chilean sea bass with lime risotto (oh my goodness!!), lamb chops (best I have ever tried) with couscous and a filet that would make Ruth's Chris jealous with smashed potatoes. It was so wonderful that our out-of-town family staying with us went two nights in a row. It's very lively with an upscale feel without being overly pretentious (you can wear jeans and feel right at home). Incredibly attentive owner and wonderful service by our waitress, Dana. It is my new favorite place in the Palm Coast/Flagler Beach area and as a local I HIGHLY recommend it! So nice to have a place like this in our little town that I can recommend to our vacationing family and friends.

While on spring break with my family, we stayed at Hammock Beach Resort for the week (where we found the food to be average & decided to venture out). We couldn't be happier we did, because we found 386. The food was so fresh & fantastic & the service was fenominal, we ate there 3 times on our trip! All three times we ate something different from appetizers to desserts & were pleased every time. This restaurant serves high end quality food without the pretentious attitude or dress code. From the moment we walked in the door we were treated like family. I only wish they would open a sister property close to my home! If you are anywhere near Palm Coast, 386 is a MUST!

A gem just south of the typical fare around St. Augustine. I ordered shrimp and grits and my wife ate it instead of me it was so good. She said it was the best she has ever had anywhere. Crab cakes were excellent too. My wife had the Ani tuna which was just perfect. There was plenty left but it was so good we didn't to want reheat a meal so good as this. Service was very very good and attentive. This is the best (thou on the high $$ side) we have had in this area. Really great place that I don't believe can be beat around it.

We tried four different main courses and each one was prepared beautifully. Each dish was delicious in it's own right and all presented and served expertly by the staff. The place is quite lively on Friday and everyone appears to be enjoying the special atmosphere. Add some great wine and beer selections and let the magic happen. Very enjoyable evening!

I'm shocked at the reviews that complain about the food. I just cant say enough good things about the meal we had. Its good to see that no one really seems to complain about the ambiance because anyone who eats in this area on a regular basis knows damn well what you are going to get. Casual is good sometimes and there isn't a better place to eat at then 386. Yes, it is small and yes it could use a little cleaning up but keep in mind people - it has been open for 6 months at best. So, lets talk about the food. The tuna tartare was exceptional, nice small portion like an appetizer should be but filling enough for sure. The duck spring rolls were excellent! I actually never had duck before and this was a great way to try it. The waitress (Kat I believe) was very nice and offered us a sweet thai sauce to go with it as well as the spicy mustard. It was a nice 2nd option to have. My wife had the scallops over prosciutto/risotto. It was cooked perfectly and delicious and again the portion was perfect! I had the chicken scallopini with cherry tomatoes, mushrooms and capers over linguine. It was phenomenal! The chicken was juicy and linguini nicely done al dente style. Let me now talk about the owner Frank. He couldn't have been more pleasing to talk to. 1st, he personally came out with a different bottle of wine then the one I ordered because it was sold out. Look those things happen at small restaurants that cant sure liquor. Most places the waiter would just return and say sorry pick another. Not here, he gave me a better bottle then what I had ordered and charged me less. He then spent a few mins filling us in about the restaurant and his quick background (originally an NJ guy like myself). After that he would check in with us periodically to make sure everything was done to our liking. Towards the end of the night Frank returned with a complimentary piece of NY cappuccino cheese cake! It was as good a piece of cheese cake I have ever had. I wish nothing but the best to Frank and 386, I hope they thrive there and I will be returning everytime I come to visit my family at Hammock Dunes. Cant wait to check out his new place 727 (full restaurant and jazz bar) over at European Village... GOOD LUCK!

We had the BEST dinner at 386 last night. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip, steak tartare and the clam. WOW. The steak tartare was my favorite but only because the clams were shared between 8 and gone in seconds! All the food was awesome. I had the grouper special but my sons pork chop was insane and my husbands sirloin special was to die for. Also enjoyed was the tuna, the kids fish and chips, the lamp chop special and the filet salad. Incredible! We enjoyed dessert and a bottle of red and a bottle of white. Service was spot on - knowledgable, kind and interesting. We never felt like they were getting ready to call it a night- which they were since we got there late. Such a lovely experience and it even involved bread to start- a welcome change to the saltine crackers!

What an incredible restaurant! I went on a Saturday night with 3 others (plus a baby). We were so blown away by the menu that we over ordered, but managed to eat every bite! The appetizers were sensational, the wine list was very nice (and reasonable compared to other restaurants), and the food was outstanding. However, we were even more impressed with the staff. The owner came around several times to check on each table. You could tell that the staff really cared about what we thought of each plate and they even offered to make us baby food!!! We will, without a doubt, make the drive back to 386!

I give it four stars only because... I think the locals were so excited about decent food that they Have over rated. Great staff friendly owner above average food at best... The sake of not sounding snooty we have experienced fine dining and superb food and service. With that being said considering the location you was definitely above adequate. An extreme amount of hype on yelp but I'm not from this area just a Snowbird so you have to take my rating solely on my experience..

This is the old Mad Dog's on A1A. I went there the other night and I was really impressed. We got a calamari salad, the ossobuco, and the fish and chips. The ossobuco and salad were amazing. The fish and chips I'd say were good but not incredible. We also saw a porkchop go by and it looked great. The owner (Frank) was there and he seemed rather nice too.

This place is awesome. We have been sampling local restaurants all week on vacation, and this is the best by far. Had the Chilean sea bass special- very very good. You will not be disappointed.

Party of four with 7PM reservation. Friendly staff but slow, especially presenting food. There were three (3) "specials" one of which they were out of at 7 PM. The steak that was selected as a replacement "they have been out of for days." The mahi-mahi was not even average - maybe old, maybe over cooked. The cioppino had clam that was all mud and several mussels I didn't eat because they were not open. Flavor was good if a tad spicier than I prefer. Poor wine list, only one choice of most varieties by the glass. Area really needs a top notch resturant, this one misses on the small stuff but the the prices are top notch.

This was the worst meal We've had in our 2 week stay in Crescent Beach. The steak tartare was tasteless. My risotto was simple boiled rice with some veggies and sausage thrown in. A big Yuck! The Ciopinno had mostly overcooked seafood. The only dish that was a success was the tuna. We did have a great waitress. We will never go back here.

I really enjoyed this new restaurant that opened a few months ago. The staff very friendly and efficient. Food was outstanding. I will definitely recommend friends and be back to eat here again.
